Link in bio: how much can coaches earn from social media?

You’re on Instagram or TikTok, you post workout routines, showcase the results of your work with clients, and regularly answer enquiries about working together. At some point, you’ll need to organise all this and find a way to convert your followers into paying clients. A single link in your bio can be useful for this – one where potential clients can find your services, prices and how to book a training session on a professional-looking screen optimised for mobile devices.

You publish training content, show your work with clients, record short videos and answer questions in the comments. There is interest, but does it lead to bookings? Ten thousand views on a reel can look impressive in your statistics. They do not tell you how many people looked at your offer, asked about coaching or actually paid for a session. The aim is not to turn every post into an advertisement. It is to make sure someone who has decided to train with you knows what to do next. A well-prepared link in bio shortens the route from interest to a specific service: a consultation, a single session, a package or a workshop. Let us work through that process with numbers. You will see how to estimate potential sales revenue from Instagram and TikTok, which metrics are worth watching and when the free tools in TrainMaster.pro Link-in-Bio can help organise the process. Views are not clients. Start measuring the right things Imagine a TikTok video gets 20,000 views. You may be pleased with its reach, but reach alone does not pay your studio rent. For sales, what matters more is how many people visited your offer, how many were interested in specific services and how many completed a purchase. To analyse this properly, separate five stages: viewing your content, visiting your offer, choosing a service, starting a purchase and completing a paid transaction. Track inquiries separately too, because not every coaching relationship starts with an immediate payment. Stage What does it show? What can you improve? Content views Interest in a video or post Topic, format and audience fit Offer visits How many people want to find out more Your call to action and link placement Service selection Whether the offer meets a need Description, price and service scope Purchases started Purchase intent, not revenue Clarity of the steps and sign-in process Paid purchases Actual gross sales Your offer, pricing and client service Do not divide purchases by video views and call the result your page conversion rate. A useful reference for offer conversion is purchases relative to offer visits during the same period. Not every visit can be attributed to a source, however, so unknown sources should remain a separate category. Three scenarios: how much revenue could a link in bio generate? The examples below are simulations, not Instagram or TikTok benchmarks, and they do not come from TrainMaster.pro user statistics. We vary visits, the proportion of buyers and order value to show what sales depend on. We calculate gross transaction revenue and the platform fee, not a coach's net income or profit. Scenario 1. Starting out: five individual training sessions During a month, 100 people move from your content to your offer. Five buy a single session at PLN 150. That means purchases represent 5% of offer visits. 100 offer visits, 5 purchases; 5 × PLN 150 = PLN 750 in gross sales; at the standard TrainMaster.pro platform fee of 10%: PLN 75; PLN 675 after the platform fee, before other costs. The most important point is not the PLN 675 alone. You do not have to maintain an additional subscription for a sales card or landing page while you are still testing whether your offer attracts clients. If there are no online payments, there is no platform commission on those payments either. Scenario 2. Building a community and selling consultations and packages Your offer receives 250 visits a month. Ten people buy a service or package with an average value of PLN 300. The conversion rate in this illustrative example is 4%. 250 offer visits, 10 purchases; 10 × PLN 300 = PLN 3,000 in gross sales; platform fee: PLN 300; PLN 2,700 after the platform fee, before other costs. With packages, what happens after the purchase is particularly important. A client should not disappear into a payment spreadsheet: they should feel supported throughout the coaching relationship. The coach needs package details, remaining sessions, scheduled appointments and communication tools. Managing more clients becomes demanding. This is where a single environment combining client management, coaching tools, marketing and communication offers a practical advantage over a separate page, booking system and client list. Scenario 3. An established offer and larger packages Your offer attracts 500 visits a month, and 15 result in a package purchase at PLN 600. We assume a 3% conversion rate from offer visits to paid purchases. 500 offer visits, 15 purchases; 15 × PLN 600 = PLN 9,000 in gross sales; platform fee: PLN 900; PLN 8,100 after the platform fee, before the costs of delivering your training. At this stage, a well-designed package sold through social media may matter more than a small change in the number of clicks leading to a purchase or booking. Clients need to understand what the package includes: the number of appointments, support between sessions, a plan, a consultation or progress reviews. Scenario Visits Purchases Gross sales After the platform fee Starting out 100 5 × PLN 150 PLN 750 PLN 675 Growing 250 10 × PLN 300 PLN 3,000 PLN 2,700 Packages 500 15 × PLN 600 PLN 9,000 PLN 8,100 Assumptions: the standard TrainMaster.pro commission is 10% on online payments and includes the Stripe fee. Enterprise terms are agreed individually. There is no TrainMaster.pro commission on payments settled outside the platform. The final column excludes taxes, venue hire, travel, session preparation and other expenses. These figures are neither forecasts nor a guarantee of sales. Instagram or TikTok: which channel actually sells? Do not assume the platform with greater reach must bring more clients. Consider another simple example: Instagram sends 120 people to your offer, and six buy a session at PLN 180. TikTok sends 300 people, but only three buy the same service. Channel Visits Purchases Visit-to-purchase conversion Gross sales Instagram 120 6 5% PLN 1,080 TikTok 300 3 1% PLN 540 In this simulation, TikTok delivers more visits and Instagram more purchases.
